Form a political alliance with Christians against progressives.
Since there will be plenty of opposition from both sides, the alliance requires a fair amount of explanation.
First, what makes the alliance even possible is the obvious abandonment of Christians by conservative Republicans officials whose very jobs were made possible by the votes of Christian conservatives. The betrayal was obvious and startling. I hope they have learned their lesson that the GOP will not defend their liberty to live their lives as they so chose. The GOP is solely obsessed with staying in power and will throw Christians to the lions whenever necessary to achieve that goal.
The progressives are not done here. They are NEVER done. It's part of the syndrome of progressivism that they are always and relentlessly on the march. Progressivism is intrinsically hostile to religion, particularly to Christianity, as progressivism is itself a kind of secular or pseudo-religion that worships the State. They do not like competition.
If you listen carefully, progs are ramping up attacks on religion. Of course, that is their right but if you understand progressivism, you will know that progressives first express hostility to a thing before they make that thing illegal. But even today, the Progressive State of America is, by its very nature, hostile to Christianity on a number of fronts.
It taxes and regulates you to death and kidnaps your kids and places them into secular youth detention and brainwashing facilities for 12 years where they literally learn the religion of sex, drugs and rock and roll. See my book on Government Schools for the details.
The PSA is constantly at war with the family through its welfare, school, and socialism security policies. Its welfare policies crowd out true Christian charity while causing the breakup of the family at the same time.
The PSA is at war constantly and all over the world and now routinely engages in mass murder and war crimes and with no apologies.
Long story short, Christians should oppose the PSA now and fear its future plans as well. Neither the Conservative movement nor the GOP has staunched these trends and there is no reason to think they ever will (see my new book for details).
Christians are under attack by the PSA and they need new allies.
The Liberty Movement is no more than 10 percent of the population, maybe smaller. We are also under siege by the PSA, which, in spite of our best efforts, is kicking our asses and getting bigger and stronger at an accelerating rate while we congratulate ourselves on how much fun the latest libertarian event was or how attendance increased by 11% from last year. Wake up people!
We also need allies as, so far as I can tell, we have NONE at the present time. There is a potential ally waiting to be courted that constitutes well over half of the entire population.
I see little if any downside to an alliance. Neither party needs to change a single one of its core beliefs to work with the other to advance liberty. Even if there are a few issues about which to disagree, we can instead focus on the 95% of issues where we should broadly agree.
I could say more but I will stop it there and invite comments.
